I’d like to believe that yesterday was a pretty productive day…Practiced for a secret something something. I think we’re pretty good…some more practice is definitely needed.

Horizon 2009 – God In Control

I was truly blessed to be given the opportunity to attend Horizon again this year.  Where to start!  Even on the bus ride there, i felt comforted by the fact that I was “retreating” from my daily life for four days.  From the time that I arrived to the time we said our goodbyes, I was amazed by God’s love and teachings.  I honestly learned so much in these past four days that I would have in a while.  Just being in His presence for a few days without any distractions from the rest of the world was such a blessing.

When I was introduced to my small group members, I felt a little disappointed because I didn’t recognize anyone.  But as we continued to talk and share about our lives, I realized that God had placed me in that group for a reason.  I learned so much from each of them and had a great time just fellowshipping with them.  I realize that they shared a lot of prayer requests.  I’ll try my best to remember all of them.

The praise was once again nothing less that amazing this year.  God has truly blessed Pastor Joel and his praise team with so much talent.  They truly have the ability to lead and affect us with their praise.  I could only wish I could do that some day.  It was pretty amazing and encouraging to see everyone worshipping in one voice.  I feel that that’s something I need to experience more often.

And wow God truly spoke through Pastor Shim at this retreat.  I really learned a lot from his sermons.  I really liked how he went straight to the invitational the first night rather than the last night.  It really is like he said, why wait, right?  If God speaks to you the first night, then he does.  If he doesn’t, he doesn’t.  But we shouldn’t wait on his calling so I really enjoyed that.

I have to admit that the activities were a lot better this year, even though I only got to go to one seminar, wall-climb, and play basketball.  It’s all good though, I got to meet a lot of people through the activities and I was dead after them.

Oh man, I’m getting tired just thinking about all the things we did..I shall stop now.  Goodbye.
